Land of the "Free"

Have you ever wondered why this country can call itself "FREE". After 9/11 everyone started being so proud in our "freedom", but what are we really free to do.The people who call our country free are the same people who have fought to keep opression.first it was fighting the British...to be free. Then it was abolishing slavery...to be free.The civil rights movement was completely about equal rights and freedom, african americans didn't segrigate themselves it was the government... our country... the " free " one. Still our modern " evolved " times have still segrigated Americans. Our country has really never been free, especially since our "commander in chief" agrees with the treating homosexuals as though they are not americans. just because he doesn't agree. I wonder what Mr. Bush would do if heaven forbid one of his daughters was a lesbian. Who the fuck does he think he is?
